Mining Hose Ends

Mining Hose Ends

Flanges are incorporated into the hose during the manufacturing process eliminating any steel being exposed on the internal diameter. Below are only some of the ends available.

Spigot Flange (SF) Victaulic (SV) Threaded Nipple (ST)
The steel insert is built into the carcass of the hose with no metal surfaces being exposed to the medium which is to be transferred. This type of end is suitable for areas of high tension, high pressure, movement and surge within the pipe line. Maximum working pressure 3,000 Kpa depending upon type of end chosen.
Swivel Spigot Flange (SSF)

Similar to the Spigot Flange (SF) with the exception that the flange is “floating”. This assists in lining up of the bolt holes in installation and can also prolong the life of the hose as it can be turned so that even wear is obtained. Flanges can be recessed so they fit flush onto the mating surface it required. Maximum working pressure 3,000 Kpa.
Integral Flange (IF)

The fabric and tube are vulcanized onto the face of a steel backing flange. Extra fabric and rubber can be added if required to increase the fitting strength. (This should be noted on the order form.) Suitable for low pressure/low cost applications. Maximum working pressure 1,000 Kpa.
Beaded End (BE)
A circular steel band is built into the carcass of the hose and is fully encased with the hose fabrics. The free floating flange allows ease of installation and the hose can be turned so that even wear is obtained.
Cuffed End (CUFF)
The wire helix stops short of the end. The standard length is 150mm unless otherwise specified.
Swelled Cuffed End (SCE)
The hose end diameter is swelled to suit a variety of pipe diameters and hose tails.
Muff (Re-Usable) Coupling (MUFF)
To be used only with Muff Coupling hose. The fitting is a split re-usable coupling which grips onto the outside cover of the hose. Ideal for on site fittings and bolt hole aligning. Helps keep spare hose inventory to a minimum as hoses can be custom made by the user. Available in aluminium (LM6 Marine Grade, CP601) or cast iron and drilled to ASA150.
